Speaker 3:

In this episode of Mighty Moment, we continue our month-long journey looking at the best of the best scriptures from the Bible. These are awesome passages that you'll want to remember. These are 88 of my personal favorite passages from the Bible my top 101 Bible verses. The total list of verses is not in any particular order, but the pairings of three for each episode loosely tie together by a theme, but each verse is independently worth memorizing. Speaker 3:

Every believer faces moments of uncertainty, longing for God'sction. This episode unpacks three foundational scriptures Matthew 28.20, luke 12.12, and James 4, revealing how God promises His presence, guides us by the Holy Spirit and invites us to seek Him in prayer for every need. God does not merely point the way. He walks with us. We will explore how God's direction is revealed through His presence, his voice and His invitation to ask boldly. We begin with number 77 of our list, matthew 28.20, god's Presence. We're never alone on the journey. With special focus on the last part of this verse, let's read from the New King James Version, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age, amen. Focusing on the last part of the verse, reading from the New International Version and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. The Passion Translation reads Never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age. The Message Version reads I'll be with you, as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age. The Living Bible reads and be sure of this, that I am with you always, even to the end of the world. And the Amplified Bible reads and lo, I am with you always, remaining with you perpetually, regardless of circumstance and on every occasion, even to the end of the age. This verse is the second part of a great passage called the Great Commission, found in Matthew 28, verses 19 and 20. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.

Speaker 3:

While we are focusing on the second part of this verse, it's important to understand the context. It's important to understand the context. God has just sent us out on a great commission to take His love, his gospel, his message to the whole world. He wants us to know that he is not sending us out alone, but rather he is going to be there every step of the way, empowering us and sustaining us to great success. God is promising, committing to be with us every single step of the way, regardless of how hard it may get. God is not going to leave you abandoned. God is not going to leave us almost at the end. No, god will be with us all the way to the time when we see Him face to face. He will never leave us alone. He will never abandon us. We will never be on our own. There is a terrible fallacy and heresy that runs in circles in the Christian community that in the last days, believers have to go it by themselves, have to do it alone. This one verse refutes that terrible lie that, in fact, god will be with us every single moment of every single day until we are with Him forever in the end.

Speaker 3:

Looking at the original language, was written in Greek. The phrase I am with you. Jesus emphasizes his personal, continual presence. The double use of I and am stresses certainty and intimacy, echoing God's self-revelation as I am, as used in Exodus 3.14. Always in the Greek literally all the days, means every single day, not just in special moments. And to the end of the age in the Greek refers to the culmination or completion of this era, not simply a chronological ending, but the fulfillment of God's plan. Matthew 28.20 reminds us that Jesus doesn't merely send us, he goes with us. Number 78 in our list is Luke 12.12,.

Speaker 3:

Spirit-led words trusting God's guidance in every moment. Reading from the New King James Version For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say. The New International Version reads For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say. And the Passion Translation reads Simply be confident and allow the Spirit of Wisdom access to your heart, and in that very moment he will reveal what you are to say to them. The Message Version reads the Holy Spirit will give you the right words when the time comes. And lastly, in the Living Bible For the Holy Spirit will give you the right words even as you are standing there.

Speaker 3:

One of the key reasons given for not sharing our faith is a fear in not knowing what to say. This verse reminds us that the best preparation for witnessing is knowing the Savior. God Himself will guide you in what to say when you need to say it and will provide the words that you will need. We must be faithful and trust completely in Him. Be bold to witness, because God has your back. While it's important to be a student of the Word, the key point here is that your willingness to serve and be used by God is all that is necessary for success, as God will speak through you. So the real question is are you willing to let God use you? Overcome fear with the confidence that God is with you and will compensate for you and all your inefficiencies? He will never leave you nor abandon you, and He'll never ask you to do something if he's not going to be right there with you to support you and guide you to success. The original language that this was written in, greek, gives us insights into what it really means.

Speaker 3:

Digging into the verse, we see that God's direction is not just for the future. It is present and timely. The Holy Spirit provides wisdom and words exactly when we need them. The Holy Spirit provides wisdom and words exactly when we need them, teaching us dependence on Him. The Holy Spirit isn't just a past teacher or future counselor. He is present in the now. This application means that God's direction often comes in the moment we need it, not beforehand requiring trust and attentiveness. Beforehand requiring trust and attentiveness. Luke 12.12 assures us that God's direction comes through the Holy Spirit's timely guidance. Number 79 in our list is James 4.2, prayerful Pursuit Receiving God's Direction Through Asking.

Speaker 3:

Reading from the New King James Version you lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war, yet you do not have because you do not ask. Focusing on the last part of the verse. Reading from the New International Version you do not have because you do not ask God. Good News Bible reads you do not have what you want because you do not ask God for it. The Passion Translation reads and all the time you don't obtain what you want because you won't ask God for it. The Message Version reads you wouldn't think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? The Living Bible reads and yet the reason you don't have what you want is that you don't ask God for it. And lastly, in the Clear Word version, there are things you should have, but you don't have them because you don't ask God to give them to you. Could it be that simple? Could it be as simple as asking. We have not because we ask not.

Speaker 3:

I've caught myself complaining about a situation before and realized I'd never even brought it to the Lord in prayer. How can I complain about a situation if I've never even asked God to help me with the situation? God is ready to do wondrous things for me if I allow Him to do so. More time praying, less time complaining. One clarification is that this is a promise that God will supply all our needs, not wants. He's never going to help you sin. He's never going to help you hurt yourself. Asking God for a Lamborghini is not necessarily wrong, but God is going to answer with what is best for you and ensure you are fully equipped to do His will. You see, I've found the closer we get to God, the more our requests align to His character and the less they are selfish and wasteful and gluttonous.

Speaker 3:

James highlights the futility of striving for what we need through our own efforts instead of turning to God in prayer. God's direction is found not in self-reliance, but in humble asking. We often lack, not because God withholds, but because we never truly ask, the invitation is open. God's direction includes an invitation to seek, ask and believe. James 4.2 calls us to seek God's direction through prayer, not self-effort. When we ask, god responds, not always as we expect, but always for our good and His glory. James 4.2 is both a rebuke and an invitation. God wants to give, but he also wants to be asked. In conclusion, god's direction is beautifully woven through these three scriptures.

Speaker 3:

In Matthew 28.20, jesus assures us of His unwavering presence. He is with us, always guiding and comforting. Luke 12.12 reveals the Holy Spirit's active role, teaching and equipping us at the very moment we need it. And James 4, 2 reminds us that God invites us to ask, to seek His help and to trust Him for every provision. Together, these passages reveal a loving God who walks beside us, speaks to us and responds to our prayers as we journey through life. May we rest in His presence, rely on His Spirit and approach Him boldly in prayer.

Speaker 3:

God's direction is not a distant hope. It is a daily reality for all who trust in Him. God's direction is not a mystery for the spiritual elite. It's a promise for every believer. As we walk, listen and ask, we will find that God is not only with us but ahead of us, guiding our every step. Friends, in our next episode Salvation and Eternal Life we will continue our look at the best of the best 88 Bible Scripture passages by looking at numbers 80 through 84 in my top 101 favorite verses.
