Speaker 3:In this episode we will explore the profound path of restoration revealed in Isaiah 51-11, of restoration revealed in Isaiah 51 11, ezekiel 36, 26, and Revelation 21 4. These passages unveil God's comprehensive restoration plan, from the joyful return of His redeemed people through the transformation of our innermost being, to the ultimate elimination of all suffering. Together they show God's relentless commitment to restore what was lost, renew what was damaged and recreate what was broken. We begin with number 62 on our list, isaiah 51, verse 11. The ransomed return with songs of joy, reading from the New King James Version so the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion, with singing Reading from the New King James Version. The New International Version reads those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing. Everlasting joy will crown their heads, gladness and joy will overtake them and sorrow and sighing will flee away. And the Good News Bible those whom you have rescued, will reach Jerusalem with gladness, singing and shouting for joy. They will be happy forever, forever free from sorrow and grief. The Passion Translation reads Do it again. Those Yahweh has set free will return to Zion and come celebrating with songs of joy. They will be crowned with never-ending joy. Gladness and joy will overwhelm them. Despair and depression will disappear. And the Message Version reads In the same way God's ransomed will come back. Come back to Zion, cheering, shouting joy, eternal wreathing their heads, exuberant ecstasies transporting them, and not a sign of moans or groans. And the Clear word reads Like a ticker tape parade right down Main Street celebrating the newly crowned champions. We, the saved in Jesus, will come victoriously home. This will be the culmination of our earthly journey. What a joy-filled and awesome verse this is to cling to. Oh, friends, hold on to the Lord's hand through the troubles of this earth. Remember this world is not our home. We're just passing through Soon and very soon we will be home with Jesus. Isaiah 51-11 presents a vivid portrait of complete restoration through divine redemption. The ransomed return to Zion, their spiritual home, not with hesitation or fear, but with singing and everlasting joy, everlasting joy. This verse reveals God's ultimate intention for His people not merely to rescue them from trouble, but to restore them to a state of perpetual joy where sorrow and sighing have no place. The imagery invites us to anticipate our own spiritual homecoming with confidence and reminds us that true restoration is always accompanied by genuine joy. God's redemption plan moves beyond mere survival to triumphant celebration. Number 63 on our list is Ezekiel 36.26, the Promise of a Divine Heart Transplant.
Speaker 3:Reading from the New King James Version of a divine heart transplant. Reading from the New King James Version I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. The Good News Bible says I will give you a new heart and a new mind. I will take away your stubborn heart of stone and give you an obedient heart. The Passion Translation reads I will graciously give you a new, tender heart and put a new willing spirit inside you. I will remove your hard heart of stone and give you an obedient, responsive heart. Instead, I will put my Holy Spirit in you to empower you to keep my laws and to live by them. The Message Version reads I'll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I'll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that's God-willed, not self-willed. And lastly, the Living Bible Translation reads and I will give you a new heart. I will give you new and right desires and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love, like David's prayer in the Bible, psalm 51.10,. Like David's prayer in the Bible, psalm 5110, asking God to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. We need a new heart.
Speaker 3:The first human-to-human heart transplant was performed by South African surgeon Christian Bernard on December 3, 1967, in Cape Town. The recipient was Louis Roschansky, a 53-year-old man suffering from severe heart disease, and the donor was Denise Dorval, a 25-year-old woman who had suffered fatal brain injuries in a car accident. Roshansky survived 18 days after the operation, marking the procedure as a groundbreaking achievement in medical history. Dr Bernard's second surgery was even more successful On January 2, 1968, just a month after his pioneering first operation. The recipient, dr Philip Blayberg, survived for nearly 19 months, 593 days after the transplant, marking a significant breakthrough in the field. What about today? Well, that was achieved by Susan Barkhart of Mount Vernon, illinois, who is the longest-living heart transplant patient. She has lived after surgery over 41 years. She received her heart transplant in 1983.
Speaker 3:This example of medical technology regarding physical hearts is amazing. But how much more amazing is it to receive a new spiritual heart, a new divine operating system replacing our corrupted one? Number 64 on our list is Revelation 21.4, the divine eradication of all suffering, reading from the New King James Version and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. In the New International Version it reads and the Good News Bible reads has passed away. And the Good News Bible reads he will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared. The Passion Translation reads he will wipe away every tear from their eyes and eliminate death entirely. No one will mourn or weep any longer. The pain of wounds will no longer exist, for the old order has ceased. And lastly, in the Message Bible we read He'll wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good. Tears gone, crying gone, pain gone, all the first order of things gone.
Speaker 3:I love the personal dynamic of this verse that God Himself is going to wipe away our tears.
Speaker 3:Oh how he must long for that day. You see His original plan, his perfect plan for the world and for us. His desire for us was for us to live in peace and harmony and love. Sin caused that to get all messed up. Oh how he must grieve to see all the suffering of His creation here now. In fact, so motivated was he to change things that he injected himself into the world to find a solution. Jesus Christ came to end this division and disruption and get us back on God's plan. As this plays out, soon, and very soon, jesus is coming back to put an exclamation point on his plan of redemption and restoration. When God restores all things, it will finally be back to how God designed no more hospitals or funerals, medications or glasses, no more wheelchairs or dementia, no more famines and disease and nursing homes, no more homelessness, divisions and politics, no more violence and broken homes and shattered lives, no more arguing and fighting and wars. All these things will be gone, gone, gone, gone, gone completely. So it's back to God's perfect plan.
Speaker 3:In conclusion, isaiah 51.11, ezekiel 36.26, and Revelation 21.4 form a magnificent tapestry of divine restoration, moving from external to internal to eternal.
Speaker 3:Isaiah reveals God's power to restore His people physically, bringing them back from exile with songs of joy.
Speaker 3:Ezekiel takes us deeper, showing God's commitment to restore us internally by replacing hardened hearts with responsive ones.
Speaker 3:Finally, revelation completes the picture with God's ultimate restoration, the elimination of all suffering and the establishment of a new order where tears, death, sorrow and pain are permanently erased. These passages reveal restoration as central to God's redemptive plan, a progressive work that begins with our return to Him, continues through inner transformation and culminates in eternal joy. Together, they remind us that God isn't satisfied with partial fixes, but works toward complete restoration on every level. As recipients of this divine restoration project, we're invited to receive what only God can do—ransom us from bondage, replace our hearts of stone and ultimately remove all our suffering, creating in us and for us a reflection of His perfect love and glory. Friends, in our next episode, god's Unfailing Word we will continue our look at the best of the best 88 Bible Scripture passages by looking at numbers 65, 66, and 67. In my top 101 favorite verses, We'll look at Isaiah 55, 11, matthew 24, 35, and 2 Peter 3, 9. I hope you've enjoyed our time together and I pray you have a mighty moment with God today. Be blessed.
